Vuonokari (1986) is an visual artist, living and working in Turku, Finland. Vuonokari combines wide selection of tools of storytelling, photography, sculpture, drawing, crafts, literature and sound art with an orientation towards installation art. Vuonokari's design language often plays with a combination of two- and three-dimensionality.

”In a two-dimensional image, almost the same way as in language, there is a possibility to go through the surface into another world or see through the image, the window, a different reality. A three-dimensional work is in the same room with you and it is in the same way physical as you. I have a need to combine them both. An image can take one elsewhere, but I want the image to be strongly present and physical as well. ”

Vuonokari graduated as a visual artist from the Turku University of Applied Sciences, Arts Academy in the spring of 2016.
